The funeral service for Ellen Margrethe Sylvie Knudsen was held at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Good Samaritan Chapel, Loveland, Colo. The Rev. George Hubert officiated. Cremation followed the private viewing.

Ellen died June 2, 2005, at McKee Medical Center.

She was born April 23, 1927, in Roskilde, Denmark, daughter of Janus Hansen and Francine Sorensen.

She attended schools in Roskilde, Denmark and was self employed as a cake decorater working at Safeway and Cub Foods in Denver, Colo. and Toddies in Fort Collins, Colo. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, bowling, and sky diving and supported the Humane Society.

She is survived by husband Svend Knudsen of Loveland; son Steen Knudsen of Lakewood, Colo.; daughters Anne-Grethe Knudsen of Laguna Niguel, Calif., Karin (Jeff) Wood of Deadwood, S.D., and Lynn Dorothy Small of Fort Collins; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters
