The Albert Lea High School Hockey Annual Golf Tournament will be held at the Albert Lea Country Club Saturday July 16th.

This will be a four person best shot tournament with an 11 a.m. shotgun start.

The entry fee will be $45 for ALCC non-members and $35 for ALCC members which includes 18 holes and dinner.

ALHS weight room hours announced

The Albert Lea High School weight room will be open this summer every evening from 5 p.m. to 6:30 as well as Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

It is free for every student entering grades 9-12, and instruction will be provided of lifters on any level. The room will be supervised by varsity coaches. Any questions should be directed to Jerry Bizjak at 377-3827.

Green Lea to sponsor MGA teams

Any golfer who is under the age of 19 as of September 1 is eligible to qualify for Green Lea’s boys’ and girls’ MGA teams. Play is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, June 14 at Faribault Country Club.

There is no charge, and teams are eligible for state and national play, should they qualify.
