Yvonne Yokiel, 72, Wells

Yvonne M. Yokiel, age 72, of Wells, died Wednesday, June 29, 2005 ,at Mankato House Nursing Home in Mankato.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, with the Rev. Eugene Stenzel officiating. Visitation will be held at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells on Tuesday, July 5, from 4 to 8 p.m.,wirh a VFW prayer service at 5 p.m., a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., and visitation one hour prior to services at church on Wednesday. Interment will be in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Wells.

Yvonne was born Dec. 16, 1932, the daughter of Martin and Irene (Schroeder) Schroeder in Dunbar Township, Faribault County. Yvonne was united in marriage to Adrian J. &uot;Ade&uot; Yokiel on Dec. 28, 1953.

Yvonne was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, and the Wells American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed her family, watching sports, Bingo, crocheting and her private income tax preparation business.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Adrian Yokiel of Wells; four sons: Wayne and his wife Mary Jo Yokiel of Brooklyn Park, Minn., Dennis and his wife Sue Yokiel of Wells, Dale and his wife Donna Yokiel of Easton, and

Daniel and his wife Brenda Yokiel of Waseca; one daughter, Lynn and her husband Doug Steck of Waseca; 14 grandchildren, two step grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; as well as her father, Martin Schroeder of Mapleton Community Home; five sisters: Donna and husband Milton Olson of Arizona, Norma and husband Maynard Schwartz of Minnesota Lake, Lorraine and husband Gene Kliniske of North Dakota, Iva and husband Ray Spires of Ohio, and Delores Lamoreaux of Vernon Center; one brother, Lonnie and wife Carol Schroeder ofWisconsin; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother; and two brothers: Lavern and Kenneth.
