Alice Meuser, 72, of Albert Lea

Funeral services for Alice L. Meuser, age 72, of Albert Lea, will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, at the United Methodist Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. John Bromeland will officiate. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Alice died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005, at her home.
Alice Luella Meuser was born Dec. 2, 1932, to Ernest L. and Minnie L. (Lembke) Wittmer in Albert Lea. She was a lifelong resident of Freeborn County and had been baptized and confirmed at Concordia Lutheran Church of Pickerel Lake. Alice graduated from Alden High School. She attended beauty school and operated a shop in her home. On May 18, 1958, Alice was united in marriage to Kendall E. Meuser at the Concordia Lutheran Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Hope Circle, and the sewing group. Alice had been a Girl Scout Leader and she and Kendall had belonged to a camping club. She enjoyed sewing and crafts, cooking and baking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children: Mark and wife Debra Meuser of Albert Lea, Kathleen and husband Dennis Knutson, also of Albert Lea, and Robert and wife Teresa Meuser of Burnsville; grandchildren: Brittany and Megan Meuser, Jennifer and Christopher Larson, Ashley and Johnathan Knutson, Dustin, Christina, and Ann Knutson, and Benjamin and Nicholas Meuser; brothers: Donald and wife Marilyn Wittmer and Leslie and wife Joan Wittmer; and nieces and nephews.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kendall; and sister, Deloris Wollard.
