The memorial service for LaVonne J. Jackson will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Grace Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Todd Walsh will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest

Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family one hour before the service at the church. Bonnerup Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.

Friday, Sept. 30, 2005. She was 69 years old.

LaVonne was born in New Richland on Oct. 14, 1935, the daughter of Lorenz and Leila (Kruger) Miller. She was a 1953 graduate of New Richland High School.

She was united in marriage with Leo Jackson June 23, 1956. They are members of Grace Lutheran Church. LaVonne had worked for the Good Samaritan Center for several years. Her home was important to her and she especially loved being with her family and neighbor children. She enjoyed flowers, particularly her violets, and birds, including hummingbirds, loons, Baltimore orioles and cardinals. She liked going on family fishing trips up north, and to Branson, Mo.

LaVonne is survived by her husband, Leo, of Albert Lea; three children:

Carol (Matt) Williams of Puyallup, Wash., Bob (Angie) Jackson of Albert Lea, and Laurie Jackson of Shelton, Wash.; special granddaughter, Holly Jackson of Albert Lea; two brothers:

(Bernice) Miller and O’Dean (Regina) Miller of New Richland; four sisters-in-law:

Corrine Miller of Waseca, Marjorie Boelman of Austin, Theresa Jackson of Albert Lea, Vivian Jackson of San Antonio, Texas; special friend, the Rev. Donald Zenk of Austin; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Irene and one brother, Robert.

Memorials are preferred to Crossroads Community Hospice.
