Clifford Hauge, 80, Wells

Clifford J. Hauge, age 80, of Wells, died on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005 at Parkview Care Center in Wells.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Kiester, with The Rev. Chris Fiske officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Kiester.
Clifford was born on March 20, 1925 in Faribault County, the son of Benjamin and Minnie (Walle) Hauge. He attended Kiester High School but was unable to graduate with his class of 1944 as he was drafted into the U.S. Army in January of 1944.
He was honorably discharged in April 1946 and he returned home, attended classes and did earn his high school diploma. He was married in 1953 and later divorced. He worked as a mechanic’s assistant, at a freezer storage warehouse and at Albert Lea Schools as a furnace master and janitor until retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Albert Lea VFW. His hobbies included traveling, fishing and reading western books.
He is survived by one daughter: Kandis Eicholt of Blaine; two granddaughters Amy and Angie, one great-granddaughter: Emma; sister: Verna Sporing and husband Charles of
Mason City; brother Donovan B. Hauge and wife Camilla of Albert Lea; brother-in-law LeRoy Hoehn of Albert Lea; two nephews: Charles Sporing Jr. of Kensett, and Donovan A. Hauge of Albert Lea and one niece Linda Casey of Mason City; great nieces and nephews: Michael Jr. and Melinda Casey, Kristin and Kendra Sporing, Timothy and Kylie Hauge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister Marilyn, brother Orville Hauge and sister Vera Hoehn.
