Nelda Loge, 91, Blue Earth

Nelda Iona Loge, age 91, of Blue Earth, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, at St. Lukes Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m., at Faith Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, with The Rev. Brent Walker officiating.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be one hour prior to services at the church. Memorial donations will be directed to Faith Lutheran Church of Blue Earth. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Blue Earth is handling the arrangements.

Nelda Iona Loge was born Aug. 7, 1914, in Springfield township in Kossuth Co., Iowa, the daughter of Eugene M. and Helen L. (Powell) Worden.

She was baptized by The Rev. Muller and graduated from Elmore Public Schools. She was united in marriage to Harold Loge on Feb. 1, 1933, at Shiloh Lutheran Church in Elmore. She was a homemaker and helped Harold on farms in Rake, Iowa, Blue Earth, Elmore, Pilot Grove and Grove City areas.

They lived in Mapleton for nine years before retiring to Bricelyn and later Blue Earth where she became a resident at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center.

Nelda loved sewing, quilting, garden clubs, birthday clubs and loved to be with her children, grandchildren and their families.

She will be missed by all who knew her.

Loge of Norwood Young America, Minn., son, Virgil (& wife Mardelle) Loge of Albert Lea,

daughter, Nelda Jean (& husband Jerry) Corn of West Long Branch, N.J., daughter-in-law, Janice (and husband Don) Smith of Lake Mills, 13 grand children, 24 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, brother, Raymond Worden of Mankato, sister, Lovina (and husband Art) Johnson of Sandwich, Ill., four sisters-in-law: Betty Worden, Esther Worden, Margaret Haaland and Alice Lunning and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2002; son Harold Ne Dean, great grandson, Jared Neve; brothers: John and Dwight Worden; and sisters, Laura (Edwin) Cassem and Ada (Eddie) Ihle.
