Funeral services for Timothy Kyle Raatz, 6, of Northrop, will be held Saturday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, Northrop.
Interment will be held at the church cemetery. Timothy died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, at the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital Burn Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, from injuries sustained in a house fire on May 14 in Northrop. Visitation will be held one hour before the services at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Zaharia Family Funeral and Cremation Service of Truman.
Timothy was born July 11, 1999, in Fairmont to LeRoy and Dawn (Lowman) Raatz. Timothy lived with his family in Northrop. The last six months of his life was spent in the hospital burn unit in Cincinnati. Timothy enjoyed his guitar, dancing, Elmo, riding his bike and especially playing with his brother. Timothy was a good-spirited little boy who was a fighter until the very end. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Timothy is survived by his parents, LeRoy and Dawn, of Truman; one brother, Travis Raatz of Truman; maternal grandparents, Richard Lowman Sr. and wife Joyce of Albert Lea and Carolyn Lowman of Albert Lea; paternal grandparents, LaVaine and Shirley Raatz of Madelia; Maternal Great Grandparents, Fred and Gladys Belshan of Glenville; four uncles, two aunts and seven cousins. Timothy was preceded in death by his great grandmother Irene Lowman and one great uncle Frederick Kent.
