Funeral services for Christa Larsen, age 94, of Albert Lea will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Curtis Zieske will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the services at Bayview.
Christa died, Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, at St. John’s Lutheran Home.
Christa Larsen was born Dec. 28, 1910, to Peter and Annie (Jensen) Peterson in Bath Township. She had attended Country School. On Jan. 20, 1934, Christa was united in marriage to Russell E. Larsen in Albert Lea. The couple farmed in the Clarks Grove area for 52 years, retiring in 1988 and moving to Albert Lea. Christa was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and active in the women’s group. She enjoyed crocheting and had made many Afghans.
Survivors include her daughter, Doris and husband, Lee Ulland, of Burlington, Wis.; son, Roger and wife, Beverly Larsen, of Dalbo, Minn.; grandchildren: Charles and wife, Jodi Ulland, of Waterford, Wis., Jean and husband, Michael Krattley, of East Troy, Wis., Russell and wife, Kristen Ulland, of Waterford, Wis., Christine Larsen, of Bryan, Texas, Rev. Sarah and husband, Rev. Paul Nelson, of Ames, Iowa, and Trygve and wife, Dianne Larsen of Foley, Minn.; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Ella Jenson and Ardis Thompson; brother-in-law, Leroy Larsen; and many nieces and nephews.
Christa was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Larsen; sisters: Edith Peterson, Mary Mickelsen, Fannie Sorenson, and Esther Lahs; and brothers: Jacob Peterson, Chris Peterson, and Norbert Peterson.
