Peter VanDer Wall, 75, of Hollandale

A celebration of the life of PeterVanDer Wall, age 75, of Hollandale, will be held at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, at the Hollandale Christian Reformed Church. The Rev. Gary Brouwers will officiate. Interment will be in the Hollandale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m., Thursday at the church.
Peter died on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, at his home in Hollandale.
Peter VanDerWall was born on April 16, 1930, in Saugatuck, Mich., the son of Andrew and Carrie (Fik) Van Der Wall. He grew up and attended school in Michigan. Following school, Peter farmed with his father. He was a school bus driver for 23 years before retiring. On Jan. 21, 1983, Peter was united in marriage to Alice Louters Oosterbroeck at the Highland Christian Reformed Church in Redlands, Calif. Peter and Alice moved to Arizona in 1991 and then to Hollandale in 2001. Peter served as an usher, a Bible teacher, and a church worker in various churches. He was currently a member of the Hollandale Christian Reformed Church.
Survivors include his sister Marion and her husband Jerry Lookerse of Redlands, Calif., and their children Paul and Barbara Lookerse of Yucaipa, Calif. and Sue and Paul Donovan of Everett, Wash.; sisters-in-law Ruth Louters and Barbara J. Louters, both of Hollandale, and Kay DeVries of Oregon; and many other nieces and nephews.
Peter was preceded in death by his wife Alice, and by his parents.
