George Bray, 72, of Albert Lea

Funeral services for George H. Bray, age 72, of Albert Lea, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2006, at the Emmons Lutheran Church. The Rev. Julie Fiske will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the Freeborn County Veteran’s Organizations. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the Church.
George died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at the Albert Lea Medical Center.
George Henry Bray was born April 9, 1933, to Walter and Ida (Linnemeyer) Bray in Olmsted County. He lived in Austin before moving to the Dover/Eyota area to work on his uncle’s farm. George graduated from Dover/Eyota High School and then served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1957. He worked in sales for several companies including J. C. Penney, Montgomery Ward, and Tradehome Shoes and was later employed at Schweigert and Lee Foods. George attended Emmons Lutheran Church and was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Eagles, and Moose.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Bosma of Albert Lea; sons: Vernon and his wife, Carol of Loudon, Tenn., David of Lenoir City, Tenn., and Jason and his wife, Liana of Knoxville, Tenn.; daughters, Linda Clifton of Loudon, Tenn., and Brenda Gennetten of Sedalia, Mo.; step children: Denise and her husband, Dan Clark, David Bosma, Doug and his wife, Carol Bosma, and Debbie and her husband, Mark Meuser; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; mother, Ida Bray; sisters: Lois Roseth, Shirley and her husband, Donald Hullback, and Wendy and her husband, Joe Niessen; and brother, Wally and his wife, Roxanne Bray.
George was preceded in death by his father; brother, Bill Bray; and sister, Barbara Thompson.
