Idella Dilling, 89, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Idella Bertina Dilling of Albert Lea will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. Dan Baker will officiate. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour before service at the church.
Idella died on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, at the Broadway Board & Care, Albert Lea. She was 89 years old.
Idella was born in Armstrong on March 26, 1916, the daughter of Gust and Edva (Blekeberg) Knudson.
She lived her early years in the Twin Cities before moving to Albert Lea, where she lived most of her life.
Idella graduated from Albert Lea High School.
She was married to Eldon Dilling
on Sept.
14, 1947.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church, where she worked on the Caring & Sharing Committee and was a member of FLCW. Idella was a nurse and worked in the
Twin Cities.
She was also a volunteer for the Naeve Hospital Auxiliary.
Idella is survived by her son, Keith Dilling of Andover; saughter, Arlene (David) Smith of Racine, Wis.; grandchildren: Trevor Dilling
of Berkley, Calif.,
Cheryl (Jason) Vorwald of West Allis, Wis., Peter (Janet) Smith of Milwaukee, Wis., and Scott Smith of Portland, Ore.; and great-
grandchildren, Paige Idella and Lauren Jeanne Vorwald.
Idella was preceded in death by her parents, Gust and Edva; husband, Eldon; and daughter-in-law, Linda.
