Lila M. Ballard, 74, of Libertyville and Grayslake, passed away Feb. 5, 2006. She was born Dec. 15, 1931. Lila was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her loving children Pam (Tom) Seveska, Linda (Dik) Muller, Ted (Trish) Ballard, Matt Ballard, Becky (Jim) Burke; 16 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers Warren Sorenson, Gordy Sorenson, Hank Sorenson and Stanley Sorenson; sister Clarice Pence; and several loving nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Ernie Petters and second husband John Balland; sons Edward A. Petters and Brian L. Petters; daughter Patricia Petter; grandson Thomas E. Degen Jr.; sister Joneth Johnson; and brother Norris Sorenson.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. with the funeral service at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 Cemetery Road, Gumee, IL 60031. Burial will be private. For additional info, please call (847) 336-0127.
