&8220;The songs will be around a worshipful experience and not just traditional Easter-themed songs,&8221; said the Rev. George Marin, one of the featured singers and pastor of Grace Christian Church.

Audience members will be given the opportunity to participate in the worship experience as the youth band plays familiar praise and worship songs.

&8220;We usually pack out our building, right about 200 people,&8221; Marin said.

Marin and Todd Utpadel perform together twice a year at Christmas as well on Good Friday. Other featured performers will be Robert Lovelady and Andrew Hanson.

The Grace Youth Praise Band is composed of kids between 13 and 19 years old, singing and playing drums, a keyboard, a guitar and a bass guitar.

&8220;We have a strong philosophy of keeping our young people involved in God’s work,&8221; Marin said.

Marin and Utpadel usually raise money for the Salvation Army at their Christmas show. At the Good Friday performance, they will receive an offering for Grace’s summer youth street evangelism mission trip.

&8220;This year our street mission trip is to Washington D.C., Philadelphia and New York City,&8221; Marin said. &8220;And we’ll be taking our portable puppet-stage and our instruments and ministering to the homeless right out on the streets.&8221;

Marin plans to have kids talk about the trip during the service.

&8220;Music just has a way of ministering to people, more than just preaching or talking,&8221; Marin said.
