LAKE CRYSTAL &045;&160;The Alden-Conger Knights baseball team couldn’t cool down the bats of Lake Crystal on Thursday night.
The 10-3 loss was filled with errors from the Knights and snaps their four-game winning streak.
LC wasted no time in dismantling the Knights. In the first inning it was able to load the bases and drive in two runs.
LC managed to drive in at least one run in every inning as it came up to bat while A-C struggled on offense and defense.
The Knights committed seven errors in the game and only came up with four hits on the night.
&8220;We made a lot of mental mistakes,&8221; said A-C head coach Faron Bremseth.
Matt Bremseth only pitched into the third inning before he was pulled.
One bright spot for the Knights came in the fifth inning when the offense managed to string together several hits and drive in three runs. Both Mitchell Kleinschrodt and Anthony Wittmer hit triples in the inning and Ross Hemmingsen hit a double.
The loss to the Valley Conference opponent puts A-C at 5-5 overall and 3-2 in the conference.
The Knights will play another conference opponent, Nicollet, on Tuesday night.
