NEW RICHLAND &045; The top of the NRHEG softball team’s lineup produced early to help the Panthers earn a 5-4 win over Blue Earth.
Gina Quarim started the game with a single, Brittany Hansen followed with a double and Jasmine Brouwers follwed with a triple as all three players came across the plate to score.
Blue Earth would rally to take a 4-3 lead in the top of the fourth, but Amanda Follmuth drew a walk to begin the bottom half of the inning before Alicia Johnson roped a single.
Both players would score putting the Panthers back on top.
Pitcher Molly Hacker would take care of the rest working 1-2-3 innings in both the fifth and seventh innings.
She finished the game giving up 10 hits, struck out seven and walked two.
&8220;Molly pitched well for us again,&8221; said NRHEG head coach Grant Berg.
&8220;Anytime you give up two walks or less per game it forces the other team to swing the bat.&8221;
Quiram finished the game with two hits an RBI and a stolen base while five other Panthers all recorded a hit.
NRHEG is back in action Tuesday when it travels to Austin to take on Lyle/Pacelli.
