Sybil Jordahl, 83, Grass Valley, Calif.

Sybil Lorraine Jordahl passed away at home in Grass Valley, Calif., on April 10, 2006, at the age of 83. She was born on May 8, 1922, in Kenyon, Minn. She moved from Albert Lea, to Granada Hills, Calif. in 1960. She was an active member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Granada Hills for over 40 years before moving to Grass Valley. She retired from The Sportsman’s Lodge Hotel in Studio City, Calif. after 27 years, in 2001. She had been a waitress for 40 plus years.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially by inviting them to a challenging game of Mexican train dominoes. She remained creative all her life, involving herself with craft projects and gifts that her family treasures.
She will be truly missed by son Mark Jordahl of Nevada City, Calif.; son Paul Jordahl of Grass Valley, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law Angela Jane and Terry Martin of Grass Valley, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law Julie and Alex Rouse of Granda Hills, Calif.; sister Ilene Conkin of Oceanside, Calif.; sister-in-law Marilyn Jasperson of Seal Beach, Calif.; grandchildren Shelli, Shane, Jodi, Amy, Chad, Cori, Erica, Amelia, Scott, Alex and Alexis, and her eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Kristine K. Bueti in 1995, her grandson Jesse A. Fluhr in 1994; and her brother Eugene Jasperson in 2005.
A private family service is pending. Memorial contributions can be made to the Charity of your choice in her honor. Funeral Home arrangements are being made by Hooper and Weaver Mortuary in Grass Valley, Calif.
