AUSTIN &045;&160;After struggling to get consistent offensive production in recent games the Glenville-Emmons baseball team took out its frustration on Lyle/Pacelli, Friday.

The Wolverines scored early and often to beat L/P 17-5 in five innings.

The big inning for the Wolverines was the fifth when they batted around and plated 10 runs.

&8220;We had a lot of hard it balls and it was good to see us swing the bats well,&8221; said G-E head coach Louie Toulouse.

G-E had eight consecutive batters reach base in the fifth inning with Seth Buchanan recording a pair of singles in the frame to drive in three runs. Wade Flattum also had a bases loaded double to send home three more.

The Wolverines scored twice in the second without the benefit of a hit, but put five runs on the board in the third by stringing together four consecutive hits.

Michael Greibrok picked up the win pitching effectively to record 10 ground ball outs in the game. He did give up 10 hits in five innings, struck out three and walked one.

&8220;He made them put the ball in play and our defense played well behind him,&8221; said Toulouse.

Buchanan finished the game 3-for-3 with four RBIs and Aaron Wuerflein had two hits and drove in three.

G-E will host Lyle/Pacelli Monday.
