NRHEG ends regular season

JANESVILLE &045;&160;The NRHEG softball team closed out its regular season with a convincing 11-2 victory over Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton.
The Panthers jumped out to a 2-0 lead after four innings as Onika Peterson scored both runs.
NRHEG would blow the game open in the final two frames scoring seven times.
Peterson finished the game with two hits and two runs batted in, Sam Halvorson went 2-for-3 at the plate and and Kristine Sorenson had a pair of hits in four trips to the plate.
Molly Hacker picked up the win striking out five and she did not issue a walk. She scattered nine hits and did not give up a run until the fifth inning.
The Panthers finished the season with a 13-7 mark overall and an 8-3 record in the Gopher Conference to claim a top three finish.
NRHEG is off until Tuesday when they begin sections.
