Panthers pick up win, 8-3

NEW RICHLAND &045; The NRHEG baseball team picked up an 8-3 non-conference win against visiting St. Anthony Village Wednesday evening.
Tory Somage went the distance on the hill scattering eight hits and two earned runs in seven innings. He struck out four, walked one and hit one batter.
Dakota Tracy and Chris Somage were each 2-for-4. Chris Somage triples and tallied two RBIs with two runs scored. Taylor Holland tripled.
&8220;We played exceptionally well defensively against a quality team,&8221; said coach Jeff Reese. &8220;It was overall a great performance by everyone.&8221;
The Panthers moved to 14-4 on the season and finished on top of the Gopher Conference with a 10-1 record.
Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial hosted the Panthers Thursday night.
