Ivan Barickman, age 61, of Naples, Fla.

Ivan Lloyd Barickman, age 61, of Naples, Fla., and formerly of Minneapolis, died June 12, 2006, after an epic battle with cancer. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 24, at the Church of Christ, Truman. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Internment will be at Fort Ridgeley Cemetery, Fairfax, Minn.
Ivan was born Feb. 13, 1945, to Earl and Gladys Barickman of rural Lewisville. As a youth, Ivan was involved in 4-H, FFA and also raised horses. He attended District 17 country school and graduated from Truman High School in 1963.
Most of his adulthood was spent selling insurance and financial products in the Twin Cities area. Ivan spent the last decade of his life in Florida working with a variety of health product companies.
Survivors include his daughter Avonelle Lovhaug (Loren) and their two sons Graham and Lewis of Shoreview; daughter Roila Hogan (John) and their daughters Yvanna, Svetlana and son Ivan of Bloomington; and son Leon (Amanda) and their son Raven of St. Paul. Also surviving Ivan are his mother Gladys of Albert Lea and brother Kurt (Jill) and their daughters Sarah and Abby also of Albert Lea.
Ivan was preceded in death by his father Earl and brother Leon who was killed in action in Vietnam while serving with U.S. Marine Corps in 1969.
