Kristina Hanson

Kristina Marie Hanson, born June 30, 1981, in Longmont, Colo., died June 9, 2006, in Tukwila, Wash. When she was 16 she experienced her first manic episode and for the next nine years of her life battled with schizoaffective disorder. Despite this disability, she completed her AA degree at Highline Community College, and her junior year at Western Baptist College in Salem, Ore.
In Junior high Kristina started Bible quizzing at Rainier Avenue Free Methodist Church and won the national championship in individual young teen rookies. She memorized the book of John and quizzed every year until graduation, except for the year she spent in England.
Kristina cared deeply about the homeless, and gave up her bedroom, so that a homeless couple could live with her family.
She is survived by her grandmother, Luella Olson of Salem, Ore., her parents, Kurt and Sherye Hanson of Kent, Wash., her brother Nathan Hanson of Renton Wash. and her twin sister Britta Hanson of Seattle Wash. Her aunts Joy Dunn of Corona, Calif., Lorna Berg of Albert Lea, Linda Anderson of Rochester and Anita Hanson Kes of Eagan.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bob and Florence Hanson of Clarks Grove. Her father grew up in Clarks Grove and graduated from Albert Lea High School.
In November 2005, she moved into The Inn, a boarding home in Seattle. &160;
