Carol Peak, 66, Cannon Falls

Funeral services for Carol J. Peak, age 66, of Cannon Falls, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at the United Methodist Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Lynn Borgeson will officiate. Interment will be in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the services at the Church.
Carol died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at the Cannon Falls Hospital in Cannon Falls.
Carol Jean Peak was born Dec. 11, 1939, to Clare and Mildred (Taylor) Stone in Caro, Mich. She graduated from Caro High School in 1958 and attended business school in the Twin Cities. Carol worked at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., where she met her husband, George A. Peak. They were married July 30, 1966, in Caro, Mich. Carol was employed in the machine tool field as a clerical worker. She was a member of the Rosemount United Methodist Church. Carol loved crosstitching, sewing, reading, and her family.
Survivors include her husband, George of Cannon Falls; children: Sandra (Jamie) Shape of Farmington, James Peak of Chippewa Falls, Wis., and Stacy Peak of Nicollet; grandchildren: Kayla Shape and Kyle Shape; sisters, Shirley (Keith) Warren of Caro, Mich., and Joyce Wood of Kingston, Mich.; aunts, Ruth Topham of Vassar, Mich., and Ruth Taylor of Millington, Mich.; and cousins, nieces, and nephews in Michigan.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, Michael Warren.
