Midwest Wireless donated $2,810 to the Albert Lea Salvation Army Tuesday at the Midwest Wireless retail store located at 2718 Bridge Ave. in Albert Lea.
From Nov. 15 to Dec. 15, Midwest Wireless committed to donating $10 to the Salvation Army for every new Family Answer line with a 24-month agreement. And now the Salvation Army will receive a total donation of $40,000 that will be divided and distributed to the local Salvation
Army chapters throughout the Midwest Wireless service area in Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin.
For the last 15 years, Midwest Wireless and its customers have helped make the holidays brighter for area families through cash and toy donations. In those 15 years, Midwest Wireless has donated over $250,000 to the Salvation Army, and collected thousands of toys for area children.
&8220;We wanted to do something really special for the local Salvation Army chapters to mark the 15th year of this holiday tradition and we&8217;re delighted that we were able to give $40,000,&8221; said Marcia Bahr, vice president of marketing and communications.
