Norma Pestorious

Funeral services for Norma Caroline Baer Pestorious will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Pickerel Lake. The Rev. Dean Baer and the Rev. Wendy Anderson will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Victory Lutheran Church in Mesa, Ariz., at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, with the Rev. Larry Kassebaum officiating. Visitation will be from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea and one hour before the service at the church.

Norma Caroline Baer Pestorious died at Banner Baywood Medical Center, Mesa, Ariz., on Nov. 27, 2006.

Norma was born Nov. 17, 1919, to John and Anna Steele Baer in Alden Township in Minnesota. She was baptized on Dec. 14, 1919, and confirmed on March 25, 1934, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Pickerel Lake. She was united in marriage to Arthur Pestorious on Sept. 4, 1940, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Pickerel Lake. He preceded her in death in March of 1987. Norma was married to Al Peterson in April of 1990 at Victory Lutheran Church Mesa, Ariz. He preceded her in April of 1995.

Norma attended Albert Lea High School, Albert Lea.

Norma worked for many area families, in a school cafeteria, the restaurant industry, and Land O&8217; Lakes Turkey Plant, all in the Albert Lea area.

Norma and Art farmed from 1940 to 1957 in the Conger and Alden area. They moved to Conger in 1957, and in 1967 they moved to Albert Lea. In 1978 they moved to Mesa, Ariz.

Norma was active at Concordia Lutheran Church in her earlier years and at Victory Lutheran

Church in Mesa as an usher, on the altar guild, circle and quilting.

Norma loved her Jesus and her churches and gave countless hours serving her Lord. She loved her family very much and always provided a happy and loving home. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She loved the out doors and enjoyed her times at the local swimming pool. She

enjoyed dancing and cards clubs with her friends. She loved to visit with all people.

Norma is survived by her son, Steven Arthur and his wife Carol Ann

Buendorf, of Tucson, Ariz.,

their children, son Chad Steven Pestorious of Rochester, and his son Jory Eugene of Minneapolis, and daughter Terese Lyn and her husband Chad Souvignier and their children Max and Claire of Tucson, Ariz., a daughter, Judy Anderson of Mesa, Ariz., and her children, Steven Anderson and his wife Angie, and their children, Sydney, Coleton and Bohden of Grand Rapids, Brian Anderson and his wife Lynda and their children, Corrynn, Garrett and Wade of Lake In The Hills, Ill., and daughter, Jennifer Anderson of Oak Harbor, Wash.; a brother Arthur Baer and his wife Doris of Albert Lea; four nephews, Jerome, Dean, Alan, and Lynn Baer; and many cousins.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Arthur and her second husband Al.
