Robert Kuehl, 83, Albert Lea

Memorial services for Robert A. Kuehl, age 83, of Albert Lea will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at the First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Dwight Netzer will officiate. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the Freeborn County Veterans Organizations.

Robert died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, at St. Mary&8217;s Hospital in Rochester.

Robert Alton Kuehl was born May 28, 1923, to August and Anne (Paulson) Kuehl in Albert Lea.

The family moved to Montana in 1929 for three years and then returned to Albert Lea.

Robert graduated from Albert Lea High School and served in the United States Air Force during World War II. On January 15, 1947, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Ficken at the First Presbyterian Church.

Robert was employed at Universal Milking Machines for 38 years, retiring in the early 1980s. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Elks, and the American Legion. Robert enjoyed hunting, woodworking, and needlepoint.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn of Albert Lea; sister-in-law, Alice Kuehl of Bremerton, Washington; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; two sons in infancy; and brothers, Elmer and Russ.
