Tiger pucksters fall to Century

After getting a late start on its season, the Albert Lea boys hockey team raced out to 4-1 record but have now dropped two in a row after losing to Rochester Century 3-2 Thursday night at City Arena.
&8220;It was a real exciting game to watch,&8221; said Tigers coach Roy Nystrom. We had lots of chances to tie it up but just couldn&8217;t get it done.&8221;
Dustin Arendt found the net on both of Albert Lea&8217;s scores, one in the second period and one in the third. Adam Royce assisted on the second Arendt goal.
The Tigers skated to a 2-2 tie heading into the third period but couldn&8217;t hold on for the win dropping a heart breaker by one. The B-squad also lost to Century, 5-1.
With the loss the Tigers fall to 4-3 overall and drop to one game under .500 in the Big Nine at 2-3. Albert Lea hits the ice again for a holiday tournament in Rochester Dec.
27-29. The Tigers open the tourney with Richfield.
