Tigers drop swimming opener

FARIBAULT&8212; The Albert Lea boys&8217; swim team opened up its season with a 94-73 loss to Faribault.
Despite not coming up with the win, the Tigers did claim three individual victories.
Chris Dorman scored the first one by winning the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:33.0.
Dorman picked up his second win of the night in the 100 breaststroke when he touched the wall in 1:09.57.
Matt Van Fossen had the other Tiger victory beating the field to the finish by nearly 12 seconds in the 100 butterfly with a mark of 1:00.27.
The 200 medley relay team of Drew Klick, Dorman, Van Fossen and Ethan Marquardt finished in the runner-up position with a time of 1:54.55.
Marquardt was second in the 50 free with a time of 25.95, and second in the 100 free finishing in 56.15.
The 400 free relay team of Klick, Marquardt, Dorman and Van Fossen also finished second in 3:56.32.
The Tigers are back in action Tuesday when they host Owatonna at 6 p.m.
