Tour of Tables puts fun into fundraising

Albert Lea Good Samaritan Center’s perennial fundraising favorite, the Tour of Tables, was recently held at Hidden Creek Assisted Living Residence. Known for exquisitely decorated tables and incredible food, Tour of Tables has been a wonderful way for Good Sam and community members to join together to support older citizens and others in need.
The continued success of the Tour of Tables can be credited year after year to the support and creativity of the hostesses, the generosity of the silent auction donors, the culinary talents of Good Samaritan Dietary Director Lorna Meister and her staff, and the continuing support of First Lutheran Church and Steve Olson.
The 2006 table hostesses were Jill Petersen, Mary Slette, Dawn Thompson, Beth Doyle, Becky Ausen, Silvia Ortiz, Sharon Nelson, Jillian Peterson, June Larson, Bonnie Jensen, Rosalie Block and the Albert Lea Art Center.
Silent auction donors were Herberger&8217;s, Becky Boyd, Midwest Antiques, Perkins Restaurant, Something Special in the Nest, Frames R Us, Hy-Vee, Lorna Meister, Heart of the Artichoke, Teri VanErkel, Bible Book Store, Fleet Farm, Starbucks, Albert Lea Seed House, Nelson&8217;s Floral, Slumberland and Crescendo Fine Dining.
