Wach, Knutson named all-state

Alden-Conger&8217;s Ryan Wach and Glenville-Emmons Jarrad Knutson were recently named to the 9-Man Football Coaches All-State Team.

Both seniors were recognized on the defensive side of the ball where they were named first team defensive backs.

Only 22 9-man players are selected for the first team honor throughout the entire state of Minnesota.

Wach led the Knights with eight interceptions on the season and had 43 total tackles. He also set A-C&8217;s single-season rushing record with 1,867 yards and scored 23 touchdowns.

Wach also helped the Knights to the section semifinal.

Knutson had four interceptions, one fumble recovery and 53 tackles to help lead the G-E defense this past season. He was also a quarterback for the Wolverines throwing for 1,519 yards and running for 900 more.

Both players proved to be shutdown corners during the season while performing well on both sides of the ball.
