Arthur Hill, 89, Albert Lea

Arthur W. Hill, age 89, of Albert Lea, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, at the Albert Lea Good Samaritan Center. There will be no services. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Arthur W. Hill was born Feb. 9, 1917, to George and Edith (Neubauer) in Albert Lea. He attended Albert Lea schools. Arthur served in the United States Army during World War II from 1942 &045; 1945. He was wounded in action and awarded a Purple Heart. Arthur had worked at a number of places, including the telephone company. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and had been a model for the artist, Lloyd Herfindal in a couple of his paintings.
Survivors include his sister, Eva Blumenshein of Waseca and two nieces, Gay Wadell of Idaho and Sue Olson of Mitchell, S.D.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Ellen.
