ALDEN &8212; Sam Hallman led the way with 16 points while Alex Bute added 11 points, six assists and six steals as the Alden-Conger boys&8217; basketball team walked all over Grand Meadow Thursday night 70-38 in Alden.

&8220;They played really tough defense against us in the first half and we had trouble doing what we wanted to offensively,&8221; said Knight&8217;s head coach Bill Hintz. &8220;Fortunately we were able to open it up in the second half and go home with the win.&8221;

With the win the Knight&8217;s improve to 7-3 overall and take a 4-2 Valley Conference record into Friday nights conference matchup against 3-4 Lake Crystal-Welcome in Lake Crystal.
