Blanche E. Sydnes, 85, died on Thursday, March 22, 2007, at Lake Winona Manor. She was a former resident of Winhaven Court.

Blanche was born on July 15, 1921, at Emmons, to Joe and Sadie Kelly.

She married Irving Harry Sydnes on Aug. 2, 1945, at Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Blanche was the manager of the kitchen at the Holiday Inn at Albert Lea prior to her retirement.

She is a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Blanche is survived by four sons, Ronnie Sydnes of Winona, and Rick, Randy and Terry Sydnes, all of Austin; two daughters, Bonnie (Paul) Amann of Albert Lea and Cindy (John) Ahrens of Winona; five grandchildren, Cory, Sheree, Ashley, Paula and Eric; great-grandchildren, Brittany and Kadin; and brother, Bob (Lois) Kelly Minneapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Tom Kelly, and granddaughter, Deseree.

Memorial services were held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Martin-Myhre Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Mark Dumke officiating. Burial will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday at Martin-Myhre Funeral Home.
