Cops find 66 grams of meth

CONGER &8212; Freeborn County Sheriff&8217;s Office deputies arrested a 27-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman Wednesday after they were found with 66 grams of methamphetamine in a driveway in Conger.
Both are facing first-degree controlled substance charges, which are expected to be filed today in Freeborn County District Court.
According to Sheriff&8217;s Office reports, authorities received a call about a suspicious car parked in a driveway in the Conger area on Wednesday.
Upon arrival at the scene, two sheriff&8217;s detectives found the man and woman inside the car sleeping.
The detectives discovered that the driver had a warrant out of Olmsted County, and he was immediately arrested.
After a subsequent search of the vehicle, the detectives found 66 grams of methamphetamine in one large bag, 1.5 grams fo hallucinogenic mushrooms, two ecstacy pills, a 9-millimeter handgun and $2,000 in cash.
Chief Deputy Gene Arnold said the names of the two individuals would be released after charges were filed.
