John Wright, 69, Clarks Grove

Funeral services for John R. Wright, 69, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Church of St. Theodore. The Rev. Jim Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be in St. Theodore&8217;s Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Freeborn County veterans organizations. Jack died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

John Raymond Wright was born April 7, 1937, to Raymond and Vesta (Peterson) Wright in Albert Lea. He attended St. Theodore&8217;s School through the eighth grade and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1955. Jack worked for Wilson & Company before serving in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1959. After his discharge, he went back to work at Wilson&8217;s until his retirement in 1991. Jack married Barbara Lunning on April 11, 1970, at the Church of St. Theodore. He was a member of the Eagles and the Church of St. Theodore, a life member of the VFW, and a member of the Green Lea Golf Club for 46 years. Jack especially enjoyed golfing and bowling. He will be sadly missed by his many friends and family members.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara of Clarks Grove; his son, Scott and his wife, Crystal Wright of Scarville, Iowa; and his sister, Patricia Helgeson of Denver, Colo.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim and wife, Ann Wright; sister, Geraldine in infancy; nephew, Dan, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Clayton and Elizabeth Lunning; and brothers-in-law, Richard Helgeson and Richard Lunning.
