Funeral services for Robert A. &8220;Doc&8221; Dockwell, age 50, of Albert Lea will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Grace Lutheran Church. The Rev. Todd Walsh will officiate. Interment will be in the Hayward Cemetery.

Robert died Monday, Feb. 26, 2007, at his home.
Robert Allen Dockwell was born April 20, 1956, to Vernon and Marvel (Johnson) Dockwell in Albert Lea. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1974, attended Albert Lea Vo-Tech, and was employed as a truck driver.
He also worked through high school and after graduation digging graves with Moe Hagmann. Doc moved to Colorado, then Nevada, and Arizona before returning to Albert Lea five years ago. While in Arizona, he attended the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute. Doc worked as a mechanic for mining companies in the Southwest and currently worked for Georgia Pacific.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and enjoyed NASCAR, motorcycles, anything mechanical, fishing, and camping.
Survivors include his mother, Marvel of Albert Lea; children: Brandy, Daniel, Crystal, and Allen, all of Pahrump, Nev.; siblings: Debra Johnson of Albert Lea, Brian Dockwell of Ely, and Robin (Greg) Witham of Clarks Grove; nieces and nephews: Zachary Oquist, Tessa (Jay) Sipple, Shelby Oquist, Benjamin Witham, Joseph Witham, and Samuel Witham; great-niece and great-nephews: Kyler Sipple, Kadin Sipple, and Taylor Sipple; several cousins, and his dog, &8220;Buddy.&8221;
Doc was preceded in death by his father, Vernon.
