Thomas Wolf, 77, Rochester

Thomas Wolf, 77, lifelong resident of Rochester, passed away on March, 29, 2007, from the effects of a stroke.
Tom was a great husband and dad and will be deeply missed. He graduated from Lourdes High School in 1947 and from Loras College in 1951. He began the practice of law with F.J. O&8217;Brien in 1954 after graduating from the University of Minnesota Law School. He was the University of Minnesota Law Review editor from 1953-1954. Dad was inducted into the International Academy of Trial Lawyers in 1974 and the American College of Trial Lawyers in 1980. He served as Commandant for the Rochester Ambassadors from 1976 to 1977. He also was President of the St. John&8217;s Parish Council, and a member of the St. Mary&8217;s Hospital Board. He was certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in 1981. Dad was a charter member of the Rochester Lourdes High School Development Fund, and President of Warren E. Berger Inns of Court from 1996 to 1997. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award in the Academy of Certified Trial Lawyers in Minnesota in 1996. He was listed in the Leading American Attorneys 1998, Best Lawyers in America for 10 years, and in Super Lawyer in 2005. He was a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International. He was a Civil Trial Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association Civil Trial Certification Counsel in 2000, and was recognized for 50 years of law practice in 2000 by the Minnesota State Bar Association. He was an avid golfer, tennis player, fisherman and a loyal Minnesota sports fan.
Survivors include his wife Esther; two sons, Thomas (Laura) of Denver and Robert (Joan) of Fridley; two daughters, Erin (Robert) Jagodzinski of Phoenix and Stacy (Ron) Felt of Albert Lea; nine grandchildren, Tommy and Peter Wolf, Ashley Jagodzinski, David, Lauren, Charlotte and Mary Wolf, and Nevy and Joseph Felt.
The funeral Mass was Tuesday, April 3, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Rochester.
Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice. Macken Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
