Funeral services for Norva J. Olson, 60, of Albert Lea, will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, Albert Lea. The Rev. John Holt will officiate. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services. To sign the guest book go to:

Norva died on Friday, May 18, 2007, at the St. Marys Hospital in Duluth after a courageous battle with cancer.
Norva Jean (McMahon) Olson was born on March 19, 1947, to Maurice and Rose (Chada) McMahon. Norva lived in Callendar, Iowa, until the age of 5, when they moved just outside of Humboldt, Iowa. She attended school at St. Mary’s Catholic School and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1965.
In October of 1965, she was united in marriage to Patrick Tibke. Their marriage later dissolved in 1981. Norva was very involved in being a Girl Scout leader and a Cub Scout leader while her children were growing up. She enjoyed working in their large garden on the acreage. She later moved to Owatonna and then to Albert Lea where she lived many happy years and made many good friends. She partnered with David Olson in KIXX Entertainment doing weddings. She was involved with the video recording and lights. Norva loved to go to country music concerts and go line dancing. She completed her pharmacy technician program in July 2006 (Penn Foster Career School).
Norva enjoyed the privacy in her yard and the many animals and birds that would visit.
Norva is survived by her partner, David Olson; children: Maria (Tibke) Monaghan and husband Dirk, Michael Tibke and wife Carri, Eileen (Tibke) Schneider and husband Jeff; grandchildren: Samantha, Mallory, and Joshua Tibke, Tyler and Felisha Nordby, Sean and Cassie Jo Schneider; David’s daughters, Michelle and Jonas Morehouse of Austin; granddaughters Kadance and Savanna; Katrina Olson and Adam Geike of Rochester; nephews: Bill Breitenkamp of Webster City, Iowa, Ted Breitenkamp of Des Moines, Iowa; neice: Gloria Breitenkamp of Eagle Grove, Iowa.
Norva was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Rose (Chada) McMahon, sister, Inez Breitenkamp, and brother, Quinn McMahon.
