Raymond Manges, 48, Albert Lea

Ray W. Manges, 48, of Albert Lea died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at Rochester Methodist Hospital.

Funeral services for Raymond will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church of Albert Lea. Rev. John Bromeland will officiate. Interment will be in the Lakewood Cemetery.

Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church.

Ray Warren Manges was born Jan 24, 1959, to Henry and Elaine (Heskett) Manges in Albert Lea. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1978 and was a lifelong farmer in Freeborn County. Ray was a milk hauler for over 20 years for Clarks Grove Creamery and AMPI. On Sept. 11, 1993, Ray was united in marriage to Beth Hildebrandt at the United Methodist Church in Albert Lea. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors and restoring old antique tractors. He loved to do woodworking with his children. Family and friends were a very important part of his life. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Beth Manges; children; Kendra, Kristopher and Kasey, mother; Elaine Manges of Albert Lea, sister; Ruth Tennis of Albert Lea; brothers; Roger (Shari) Manges of Blooming Prairie, Richard Manges and special friend Patti Williams of Albert Lea and Jim (Vicki) Manges of Albert Lea; father- and mother-in-law; Wallace and Doris Hildebrandt of Kenyon; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Kim Hildebrandt of Faribault, Julie Matthews of Faribault, Lori Hildebrandt of Mankato, Kevin (Renee) Hildebrandt of Kenyon, Lisa (Tim) Smith of Glidden, Iowa, Jill (Ed) Becker of Dundas and Eric (Laurie) Hildebrandt of Red Wing; many nieces, nephews, cousins and great-niece and great-nephews; and special friends Keith Bjerke and Willis Schuette.

Ray was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and nephew.
