William Engebretson, 88, Scarville, Iowa

William &8220;Willie&8221; Engebretson, age 88, of Scarville, Iowa, died Monday, June 4, 2007. at the Good Samaritan Center in Albert Lea.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells. The Revs. Kent Otterman and Chris Fiske will officiate. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Kiester. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is in charge of the arrangements.
William Engebretson was born Oct. 2, 1918, in Winnebago County, Iowa the son of
Carl and Emma (Dahle) Engebretson. He attended Eden No. 6 country school in Winnebago County, Iowa.
He farmed with his parents until he and his brother Harry took over the farm in 1954. William was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Farm Bureau. Willie enjoyed hunting, working on his machinery and especially loved his cats. He had a great sense of humor.
He is survived by two sisters: Carmen Engebretson of Santa Monica, Calif., and Gladys Nelson of Hartland; four brothers: Harry Engebretson of Kiester, Selmer and wife June Engebretson of Waterford, Mich., Laurence Engebretson of Eagan and Carlyle and wife Janet Engebretson of Kiester; sister-in-law: Dorothy Engebretson of Good Samaritan Center in Albert Lea; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Conrad, in infancy; one sister in infancy; sister Maurine; two brothers, Chris and Maurice; brother-in-law Leslie Nelson; and sister-in-law Carol Engebretson.
