Evelyn Anderson, 98, Kiester

Evelyn Anderson, 98, of Kiester, died Saturday, July 14, 2007, at the Good Samaritan Center in Albert Lea. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Grace United Methodist Church in Kiester with the Rev. John Bromeland officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Albert Lea. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is in charge of the arrangements.
Evelyn Rose Anderson was born on March 28, 1909, in Faribault County, the daughter of Job and Sylvia (Wilson) Underwood. She married Albert T. Anderson on Sept. 4, 1927. They lived in the Kiester area until 1930, when they moved to rural Albert Lea, returning to Kiester in 1975. She had resided at the Good Samaritan Center since September of 2000. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the UMW and enjoyed gardening, canning, and playing cards.
Two sons survive her: Joe T. Anderson of Albert Lea and Elton J. (wife Judith) Anderson of Rossville, Ga.; as well as seven grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Albert T. Anderson, one son Eldo Anderson and two brothers.
