Sybil Moja, 84, Wells

Sybil N. Moja, age 84 of Wells, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007 at Adams Healthcare Center in Adams.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells.

Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Pastor Gerald Giese will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Wells.

Sybil Moja was born Sept. 15, 1922, in Minnesota Lake Township, Faribault County the daughter of William C. and Marjorie (Smith) Allis. She graduated from Wells High School in 1940 and Wells Teacher Training Department in 1941. She lived all of her life in Faribault County except two years in California and two years in Mankato. She married Clifford H. Moja on March 5, 1944, in Minnesota Lake. Sybil taught in rural school in Faribault County and also worked at the Red Owl in Wells for 11 years.

Sybil was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, the Hope Circle and was an officer in the Circle, Bethel Teacher, Bible School Teacher, served on the Church Council, participated in the Search Bible Study and the Cross Ways Bible Study Series. She was also a member of the Wells Senior Citizens.

She enjoyed gardening, genealogy, traveling, and especially enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sybil is survived by one daughter, Janet Leger of Austin; two sons, William &8220;Bill&8221; (wife Nancy) Moja of Arlington, Wash. and Jerald &8220;Jerry&8221; (wife Kim) Moja of Victoria; seven grandchildren: Kim, Tara, Eric, Nanette, Benjamin, Rachel, and April; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Triden of Minneapolis; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clifford in 1982 and her son-in-law, Ronald Leger, in 2006.

Memorials are preferred to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
