WATERVILLE &8212; The New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva boys&8217; cross country team finished fourth out of six teams at the Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Invite Thursday.

Josh Schroeder led the Panthers with a fifth place showing finishing at 19:28. Alex Moen came to the line in 23rd place with a time of 21:59, Matt Bartasch was 28th in 23:16, Brandon Espe was 37th in 24:59 and Josh Toukin was 44th.

The girls were led by Abby Crabtree&8217;s 11th place showing in 18:14 and Heather Schmit who ran the course in 19:55 to take 26th. Heather Malakowsky finished 30th in 20:25 and Emily Peterson was 45th in 24:51.

Blue Earth Area won both the boys&8217; and girls&8217; team races.
