The Albert Lea volleyball team finished fifth at the Hayfield Tournament over the weekend posting a 2-2 record to finish fifth.

The Tigers posted wins over Hayfield (31-29, 25-15) and Southland (25-15, 25-22) while losing to Lewiston-Altura (19-25, 16-25) and Blooming Prairie (18-25, 24-26).

The Tigers averaged nine kills and 10 1/2 digs on the day posting a team total of 183 kills on the day.

In the Hayfield match, the Tigers had four hitter with a hitting efficiency over .300. Albert Lea also had a big day serving.

&8220;We made some adjustments to the back row and libero and they really paid off after we weren&8217;t clicking early,&8221; Albert Lea head coach Lisa Deyak. &8220;The turning point came in the Blooming Prairie match where we were down 10 points and battled back.&8221;

Albert Lea is in Wells to face United South Central tonight.
