Clifford Ronald Ward

Clifford Ronald Ward, 88, of Albert Lea, formerly of Owatonna, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, at Albert Lea Medical Center.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. Memorial services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Michaelson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens.
He was born June 25, 1919 in Wykoff, the son of Alfred and Nina (Ploof) Ward. Cliff was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps from 1937-1939. He worked for the railroad for 14 years. While working for the railroad Cliff married Edith Haberman on August 10, 1946 in Rochester. He worked for the Owatonna Police Department for four years prior to buying the Pure Oil 24-hour station in Owatonna with his business partner, Sid Wilker. Cliff delivered fuel oil and bulk fuel for Central Co-op for 20 years before he retired in 1981. In retirement he sold cars for Bill Reinhardt.
Cliff and Edith traveled extensively in their retirement. After spending many years traveling, they made their home in Mountain Home, Ark. in 1995. They moved back to Minnesota in 2006.
Cliff was a member of the Eagle&8217;s Club in Owatonna since 1950.
He is survived by his wife, Edith of Albert Lea; sister, Jean Anderson of Twin Falls, Idaho and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
