G-E plays well in beating Lanesboro

LANESBORO &8212; The Glenville-Emmons volleyball team played perhaps its best match of the year downing Lanesboro in three games 25-23, 25-22, 25-16.
The Wolverines fell behind by nine points early in game one, but a scrappy G-E team refused to give up.
&8220;The girls were all over the floor and Jordyn (VanRyswyk) was as focused as I have seen her all season,&8221; G-E head coach Lisa Ziebell said.
VanRyswyk led the team with 13 kills, 12 touches at the net and four blocks.
The Wolverines were very active at the net with Jessi Nelson recording three blocks and Danielle Cooper had two.
G-E also had a strong game hitting as they had just five hitting errors in the match. Karissa Olson had nine kills and Kailey Davis had five kills. Molly Kral dished out 28 assists.
The Wolverines travel to Alden to face the Knights Tuesday in their final regular season game.
