Harvey had worked at an implement manufacturing plant and at Standard Oil Co. in Charles City, Iowa. For many years he mowed, raked and shoveled snow, for several people and businesses in the Freeborn County area.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Albert and Lloyd Bendorf; and four sisters Adeline Longrehr, Alma Sepin, Ida Checkel and Elsie Brown.
Harvey lived a simple life and will be remembered for always giving, never taking. One small act of kindness and he would reply with, &8220;And thank you for that and and there you have it.&8221; The world is a better place because of you, you will be &8220;forevermore&8221; in our hearts, Harvey.
