Lundgren caps career with state title

Krista Lundgren, daughter of Scott and LeAnn (Ignaszewski) Lundgren of Lakeville, was awarded the highest award in soccer by being named Ms. Soccer 2007 in Class AA. Krista also was awarded Metro Player of the Year by the Star Tribune.
She is a senior at Lakeville South High School and has been captain of the soccer team for three years.
She is a three-year all-state performer, a three-time all-conference selection and a Midwest team player.
She capped her successful senior season by winning the state championship Thursday beating Edina 2-1. Krista scored both goals for Lakeville South delivering the school its first state title.
Krista will be playing soccer at the University of Wisconsin, Madison next year.
Krista is the granddaughter of Bernard and Eleanor Ignaszewski of Albert Lea.
