Virginia Larson, 84, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Virginia A. Larson of Albert Lea will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. Curtis Zieske will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour before service at the church. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery.

Virginia passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at Thorne Crest Health Care Center, Albert Lea. She was 84 years old.

Virginia was born in Albert Lea on May 29, 1923, the daughter of Arthur and Ella (Nehls) Swenson. Virginia graduated from Albert Lea High School. She worked for a short period of time at Wilson Foods and Roso&8217;s Caf/.

On Dec. 27, 1947, Virginia was united in marriage to Melvin A. Larson at the Trinity Lutheran Church parsonage. She has been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church ever since. Virginia was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. Virginia was a life long resident of Albert Lea and moved from her home to Thorne Crest Apartments in 1999.

Virginia was a life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin; son Neil; and sister Beverly Bye.

Virginia is survived by sons Robert (Bob) Larson of Albert Lea and Steven Larson of Owatonna; grandchildren: Danielle (Vince) Wertman of Albert Lea,

Matt (Kristin) Larson of Albert Lea, Russ (Stephanie) Peterson of Shorewood, Amy Parnell of Shorewood and Nicole Henrickson of Lakeland; great-grandchildren: Kaitlynn and Andrew Wertman of Albert Lea, Riley and Brekyn Larson of Albert Lea, and Laura, Kelly and Ben Parnell of Shorewood.
