A-C boys fall in OT

WINDOM &8212; Coach Bill Hintz called it Alden-Conger&8217;s best game of the season, but the Knights still came up short against Fulda, 58-55 in overtime in a four-team tournament in Windom on Saturday.
&8220;It&8217;s the first time we played a complete game,&8221; Hintz said. &8220;[Fulda] was a very good team &8212; it was a tough tournament and we played a good game. I&8217;m real proud of how they stuck with it for the whole game.&8221;
Paul Little led Alden-Conger with 16 points in the losing effort. Sam Hallman scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Matt Bremseth scored 11 points and Mitchell Kleinschrodt had eight assists to go with his four points. Andy Cords had six rebounds.
The Knights fell to 1-5 on the season while Fulda improved to 3-2.
NRHEG gets third
ST. CLAIR &8212; NRHEG took it to Nicollet, 70-57 on Saturday to claim third place in the eight-team St. Clair Holiday Classic.
Alyssa Hagen was named to the all-tournament team.
Alyssa Kerkoff led the Panthers with 25 points, eight rebounds and three assists in the win. Hagen netted 16 points and a team-high 12 rebounds. Kristina Cole had eight points and five rebounds for the 6-4 Panthers.
G-E stuffed by Blossoms
BLOOMING PRAIRIE &8212; Glenville-Emmons dropped a girls&8217; basketball game on Saturday at Blooming Prairie, 57-28.
Despite plenty of good looks at the basket, the Wolverines couldn&8217;t convert on many attempts, shooting just 10-for-45 from the field.
Playing shorthanded, Glenville-Emmons trailed 32-14 at halftime.
Karissa Olson scored nine points and had five rebounds, two steals and two assists to lead the Wolverines. Jordyn VanRyswyk scored 11 points for the game.
The 3-8 Wolverines host LeRoy-Ostrander on Thursday.
